The MSU botanical garden is a unique place in the heart of Moscow. "The Apothecaries' Garden" has already held the VIII festival of orchids, carnivorous plants and desert plants.

The "Tropical winter" festival is dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the end of the legendary round-the-world journey of Charles Darwin on the Beagle, when the scientist created the theory of evolution.

Visitors will be able to not only appreciate the fragile and delicate beauty of miniature orchids from the collections of "The Apothecaries' Garden", but will also be able to get acquainted with the plants of the Dracula genus.

A giant iguana from the Zoological Museum of Moscow State University will have an effect on everyone: on the weekends there will be sessions for feeding and walking it.

Last year the VII "Tropical winter" festival was the most successful in the history of its existence. It was visited by over 100 thousand people!

The exhibition will be held until 2 April 2017.

The Apothecaries' Garden is open from 10:00 to 20:00 daily.
