May 20. This festival is organized in Novoselky Village - the homeland of renowned opera singers the Pirogovy Brothers.
The Pirogovy Brothers represent quite a unique phenomenon in the world of art, both in terms of their originality and their talent. Several opera parts brilliantly performed by Pyrogovy remained unmatched till today. The sons of a carpenter from Ryazan became truly great singers who glorified the art of Russian opera.

Its guests may participate in an animation program with the title “Peasant children’s games and entertainment of the end of XIX – the beginning of XX centuries”, visit master classes on rag doll making held by “Zvonnitsa” folk-ethnographic theater studio, master classes on Novoselovo lace making and basket weaving, and also give cooking traditional Novoselovo dishes a try, such as millet drachenys and puffy pancakes.
The festival’s culmination is going to be marked with the concert of folk groups called “As long as Russia lives, the Russian song is alive” and with the movie that the famous Pyrogovy Brothers star in.
For the twenty years of its existence this celebration has grown into a real song festival where all the genres of folk art are represented.
