April 12. Tsiolkovsky State Museum of the History of Cosmonautics in Kaluga is the world’s first and Russia’s largest museum dedicated to space, which was established with the immediate participation of Sergei Korolev and Yuri Gagarin and opened in 1967.
On April 12, 2017 it will become a venue for one of the events dedicated to Cosmonautics Day in Russia.
The Museum of Cosmonautics’ unique expositions tell the history of aeronautics, aviation, rocket and space technics – from the first artificial Earth satellite to modern space stations. The museum holds more than 70,000 items.
