Travel to Bogolyubovo. You will visit Bogolyubovsky Monastery and The Church of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin on the Nerl River (depending on the weather).

While driving through the streets of Vyazma you will get acquainted with the architecture of the XVII – XIX centuries and the main landmarks of the city, including the amazing three-tented church of Our Lady of Smolensk, which is on the territory of John the Baptist Monastery.
Departure for Smolensk.
This city, founded in the IX century is situated on the bank of the Dnieper. During the excursion we will walk on the fortress wall and take a look at the Smolensk highway.
Then we will visit the historical sights of 1609-1611 city defenses, the monuments to the heroes of the 1812 war and the Great Patriotic War, and the monuments to the famous citizens: M. I. Glinka, M.V. Isakovsky, Y.A. Gagarin, A. T. Tvardovsky, and the hero of his poem, Vasili Tyorkin.
After that we will visit Uspensky Cathedral, with its unique icon-screen, the icon of Our Lady of Smolensk Hodegetria, and the Holy Shroud dating back to the XVI century.

The tour will take you to the Izborsk Fortress Complex: the Truvor Settlement, a fortress from the XIV-XVI centuries, Nikolsky Cathedral from the XIV century, and the Izborsko-Malskaya Valley. You will also visit the Slovensky Springs – a natural phenomenon and simultaneously a sacred Orthodox site . Ground waters leak through the carbonate solid, and form separate streams and noisily fall from the steep slope. What an impressive sight!

Guided tour to the Pskov-Caves Monastery, which was founded in the bottom of the ravine through which the Kamenets River flowed. This unique monastery has never been closed throughout its 5 century history. There are 7 churches on its territory, including Unspenskaya Church. Back in 1473 the monastery was just a cave in the slope of a hill. Nowadays there is a necropolis with thousands of hallows of monks, the Streltsy, soldiers and ordinary citizens.

And in the cellars and storehouses located to the north, the important supplies such as bread, weapons, gun powder and armor were kept.

After the excursion, you will visit the Staraya Russa health resort, the oldest spa. We will take a walk in the magnificent park and see the famous Muravyov fountain discovered in 1854 - a column of water shooting up from underground.
