Saint Petersburg – Vyborg– Saint Petersburg

3days/2 nights

Many tourists have heard that Saint Petersburg is the cultural capital of Russia. We suggest familiarizing yourself with the main sights of this fascinating city. You will also visit the most “Non- Russian” city of the Leningradskaya Oblast – Vyborg, and explore the singularly beautiful rock-landscape park “Mon Repos” from the 18th-19th centuries.

The “Magnificent Capital City” sightseeing tour gives you a general understanding of the city. The itinerary is specially designed to let you explore the entire “ceremonial” center of Saint Petersburg and its main sights in a relatively short time: the Spit of Vasilevskiy Island, the sphinxes, the Enfilade of the ceremonial squares, the Bronze Horseman.

You will learn the basic facts about the most famous Petersburg buildings, monuments, streets and squares, gardens and parks, and learn the main events of Saint Petersburg’s life.

A visit to Saint Isaac’s Cathedral – a tour to Saint Petersburg’s most impressive temple, the Cathedral of Saint Isaac, a masterpiece of classicism, with a unique collection of frescoes.

A guided tour to Vyborg.

You will visit the most “Non- Russian” city of the Leningradskaya Oblast and explore the singularly beautiful rock-landscape park “Mon Repos” from the 18-19th centuries. You will be introduced to more than 700 years of history about the Vyborg Fortress. This is the rarest example of the ancient stone architecture in Russia; it reminds you of Medieval Europe. From Saint Olaf’s Tower, you will feast your eyes on the most beautiful panorama of the old city. You will walk the amazing narrow streets, which preserve the spirit of the Middle Ages.

Two kilometers away from the historic center, the Mon Repos park extends over an area of 170 hectares (My Repose in French). During the visit, you will enter the realm of poetry and art. The romantic climate of Mon Repos’ landscapes is fascinating any time of year. In the thick of the palace and immersed in the park ensembles of Saint Petersburg and its suburbs, Mon Repos stand out with some unique and endemic features that you will hear about during the visit.
